I lead transformative initiatives that elevate content team capabilities and product user experiences by harnessing data-driven content strategies, technical CMS and AI innovation, and deep cross-functional collaboration in a fun and lighthearted way.

As part of my UX organization, Greg drove our content and localization strategic direction, and established operational rigor and operational excellence, ensuring content consistency across our customer experiences. As a modern content leader, Greg championed integration into CI/CD, resulting in faster product delivery and a reduction in translation costs. Greg’s EQ-centric approach enables him to build trusting relationships with his stakeholders, employees and customers. Greg would be an asset to any organization looking to uplevel their customer experiences through amazing content practices.

Greg Martin is a true visionary in the field of UX content, possessing a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership acumen. Beyond his technical skills, Greg is an exceptional leader. He inspires and motivates his team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. His mentorship and guidance have been invaluable in the professional development of countless individuals.
One of Greg’s most significant contributions is his role in the Appcues in-app messaging program. By strategically implementing this tool, he has empowered cross-functional teams to effectively communicate with users, leading to increased product adoption and reduced customer support inquiries. Greg's strategic thinking is evident in his work on the "One Vocabulary, One Dictionary" project. By aligning terminology usage and governance at the corporate level, he has significantly improved consistency and clarity in Equinix's communications. Perhaps his most impactful achievement is the systematic improvement of user experience on Equinix’s product applications. Through strategic content planning, rigorous governance, and the implementation of innovative tools, Greg has transformed the way Equinix delivers content.
Additionally, he has played a pivotal role in the professional development of the content team, guiding them from content managers to skilled UX writers. Greg's ability to collaborate effectively with designers, researchers, writers, product managers, and engineers has been instrumental in the success of numerous projects. His deep understanding of globalization and localization has enabled Equinix to deliver seamless user experiences across diverse markets.
Working with Greg was a true pleasure. He is a joy to work with, always challenging me to think outside the box while maintaining a positive and supportive attitude. His ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution is truly impressive. I wholeheartedly recommend Greg Martin for any UX content leadership role. His passion, dedication, and strategic vision make him an invaluable asset to any organization.

Greg is a leader and manager unlike anyone I've worked with before. He is a consummate collaborator, a superb listener, a strategic driver, a compassionate manager, and a delightful human being. I've never seen anyone accomplish as much in a single year as he and his team of content strategists, writers, and localization producers have done with Equinix's entire product line last year. Content work is something that most technology companies struggle to do decently, and Greg's world-class team is the best I've seen in over 20 years of leading user experience and learning experience teams in the Bay Area and beyond. Somehow he manages to do this with style, drive, and an apparent effortlessness that belies how hard he works and how good he is at seeing opportunities to seize and execute on.

Greg is one of the strongest Content Strategists I’ve ever worked with. He’s a savvy people leader as well who connects with each of his team members and brings out the best of each one. Greg is one of those folks you work with who just has a complete understanding of his domain - process, strategy, quality and operational excellence. It was a pleasure working with him and I hope our paths align again in the future.

I supervised Greg for four years in Yahoo!’s international editorial group. Greg started out as a key individual contributor as Yahoo! built, launched, and grew search/editorial products for Chinese- and English-speaking markets in Asia. Over time, he effectively took on larger project management responsibilities and managed his own team of web editors. In both project and people management, he demonstrated skill in strategically allocating and balancing resources to achieve high editorial standards on several web sites. In all of his roles, Greg was a defender of editorial integrity and mentored each member of his group, working simultaneously to foster both individual and team development. As Yahoo! hired editors in Asian cities, Greg built strong relationships by communicating consistently about strategy/product planning and giving editorial input as necessary to help develop more user-friendly and functional products. Greg’s composure and clear articulation of opinions brought an element of stability and consistency to an ever-changing international group.
Team Building and Coaching

Greg has been my manager for the past three years and is undoubtedly the best manager I've ever worked with. He has built a robust UX Content discipline that fosters collaboration between designers, developers, product managers, and UX writers to create the best user experience for our products. He onboarded an entirely new content management system for all our digital services, which improved our content team's efficiency and allowed us to manage and publish product content faster. He also integrated the Smartling translation platform, automating our translation workflows and providing higher-quality translations for all our digital products.
However, what truly sets Greg apart is his positivity, friendliness, and ability to create a supportive and innovative team culture. His leadership style encourages collaboration, ensuring that objectives are met while maintaining a fun and dynamic atmosphere. With his leadership and encouragement, our content team placed first in a hackathon that aimed to deploy new user experiences up to 15 times faster. His invaluable support and mentorship have been instrumental in my professional development.

I work with Greg at Equinix, where their expertise in content operations is clear. Greg excels in managing content workflows and implementing effective strategies, significantly enhancing our team's productivity. His resourcefulness and proactive approach in identifying and addressing potential issues is invaluable.

I really appreciate Greg’s autonomous leadership style—trusting and empowering— he’s supportive of my vision and always does his best to provide the resources I need to extend my impact at work. It’s not easy to be the sole localization/globalization SME in an enormous organization like Equinix—localization work is done in silos, and it’s tremendously challenging to evangelize and implement globalization best practices across different functions. With Greg’s support and outreach, we’re on our path to achieving a consistent and localized User Experience. Thanks for always having my back, Greg!

I had the privilege of working alongside Greg as part of the UX team at Equinix for over eight years. During that time, Greg grew the content team into a highly capable and well-respected group. Under his leadership, they established a robust content strategy practice, integrated localization and translation practices into the UX and development processes, and implemented metrics to measure operational efficiency.
Despite being distributed across the U.S., Poland, and Singapore, the content team stood out as one of the most cohesive groups, thanks to Greg's leadership and his ability to foster strong connections both within the team and with cross-functional partners. Greg is approachable, grounded and he leads with empathy, open mindedness and sense of humor. He's unwaveringly dependable and always follows through when you need his support.
Working with Greg was a pleasure, and his contributions were instrumental to our team's success. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone fortunate enough to collaborate with him.

Greg is a seasoned UX content leader who consistently elevated every project he works on. His deep understanding of technology and his ability to simplify complex problems into clear, user-centered solutions have made him an invaluable collaborator.

One of Greg’s most impactful contributions was transforming the content architecture of the product portal. This shift not only saved time for writers and developers, it also enabled localization for a global audience and set the stage for a more scalable and user-friendly platform.
Greg’s leadership goes beyond the technical. His mentorship and guidance were instrumental in supporting team members as they navigated challenges and refined their approaches to product content strategy, design, and process. For example, he worked with his team to create a Product Experience Brief, supporting clear goals, requirements, and strategy alignment for product features among cross-functional partners.Beyond his technical and strategic contributions, Greg’s dry wit and engaging personality made him a cultural cornerstone of the team.
Whether it was through his quarterly UX Writer’s Award (complete with a sock monkey prize) or his ability to foster collaboration, Greg created an environment where creativity and accountability thrived.Greg’s combination of strategic thinking, mentorship, and technical expertise ensures that anything he works on is not just improved, but future-proofed. He’s an asset to any organization looking for a UX content leader who can deliver clarity, scalability, and meaningful impact.

I need to highlight Greg's impressive ability to design strategies for transformational impact, with a keen eye for detail and perfection. The way he articulates complex subjects is also something to learn from and explains how he guides and manages his team to deliver consistent, clear and simple content/localization throughout many applications and portals.Equinix is a highly complex environment, and one of Greg's greatest impacts was preparing the Content & Localization team for scalability by implementing effective processes, standards, and automation. Thanks to his team, our global translation process was beautifully automated.
Cross-functional Leadership

Greg is an amazing leader. He is constantly thinking about innovation and keeping up with the ever-evolving world of content and how it integrates with engineering. We worked on several projects together including scaling out content from a legacy CMS to a poly repository approach which fed into our micro front-end architecture during an effort to converge all our product experiences into one. His team is now tech savvy because of it as they've been able to pick up GitHub and how best to own, manage, and deploy their own content which is amazing for a content team! Also aside from Greg being an expert in his field, he is an expert in growing the people around him. Greg is awesome and I hope to be able to work with him again some day.

I've had the pleasure of working with Greg at Equinix for a few years. As a Content Team Leader he has been an incredible partner for UX research. Greg has a great talent for taking our research insights and turning them into clear, user-focused content that enhances the overall experience. During our collaboration he has been evangelizing the role of research in user experience and product development process.
What I really appreciate about Greg is his curiosity and willingness to dive into user insights with us. He always makes an effort to understand the “why” behind our findings and actively uses that knowledge to shape content that speaks directly to users’ needs. Working together on projects, we could count on Greg and his team to bridge the gap between research and content, making sure our insights were translated into effective and meaningful messaging.
Greg is not only a great professional but also a fantastic human being, full of empathy and sense of humor :) Working with him is a pleasure! For any team looking for a content leader who truly values the user’s perspective, I can’t recommend Greg enough.

Greg and I have worked together in related roles at Equinix and I always look forward to meeting with him for shared projects. He brings a calm yet enthusiastic approach to all of our meetings. Greg also led a company-wide project to build and deliver a glossary of Equinix terms. The objective was to foster better communication across our internal teams and with our customers. During the project he was open to feedback and good at managing to a collective result. If you are considering Greg for a position at your organization you will not be disappointed.

I had a good fortune working with Greg on multiple web localization projects for Seagate. As the content manager Greg served as a great liaison between the translation agency, regional marketing teams and development teams to make sure the localization of web content was of high quality, had effective messaging and was displayed correctly. Greg was always incredibly helpful, collaborative and flexible. He was always the first one to respond to any queries and suggest the best solution for any issues.
